I probably should've spent a lot more time on this because I really liked the image, Simplistic, but totally conveys how I appreciate this song. Best of luck :)

I love those two suggestions and think it is probably one of them. I would only suggest at this point Dance the Night Away or Come on Eileen. Great job all!!

I Wanna Hold Your Hand?

I'm so far behind. Been busy moving, so I haven't spent much time puzzling. The last time I logged on, you were on Rock Song #3!

Ahh, sweet relief - I wish I had guessed it, but many congratulations to besmirched! This one has been driving me just a wee bit mad!

I can't fault the first 5 of your top ten rock bands, but there's no way I'd ever put the Kinks into the fuzzy 5. One has to place the Eagles, Boston and U2 up there(whether you agree or not, popularity and sales says so). It's just my opinion ofc, but I'd round it out with Styx and (don't laugh!) Def Leppard(my personal fav band). Although I suppose Queen should be up there too, along with possibly a few others. The Kinks aren't even in the same ballpark, even if they are under-rated.

It's a fine debate, Kurt. The Doors, Tom Petty, Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC, Tull, etc. It seems that the Top 5 are, but that depends on personal taste as well. The fuzzy 5 is probably more of a fuzzy 50. Forgot about U2 and Pearl Jam. Simon & Garfunkel, Dylan, Joplin and away you go...
#26: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Jun 1, 2014
yeeees! Fleetwood Mac. talk about an under-rated band...

and yeah, many many deserve consideration
#27: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jun 2, 2014
This debate could be endless. There are so many factors that play into this, you could consider Elvis,Buddy Holly,The Everly Brothers from the past because per capita they may have sold more records,or some of the newer bands from the 80's and 90 and 2000. Don't forget about the Great Jimi Hendrix, and Cream with Clapton. Janis Joplin and on & on. Many of the great bands mentioned were strongly influenced by The Beatles and Stones. But they were influenced by Elvis and Holly,Chuck Berry and a host of others. It would be hard to pick the top 50 let alone the top ten.:)

Any list would be purely subjective and the more you think about it the more there are that come to mind. I really frown at schools that think they should cut music out of their curriculum. Look at the thousands of jobs it provides to support these groups.

It looks like everybody has overlooked another great band that is often underrated: ELO
#30: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Apr 4, 2018
Fun solve.
#31: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Apr 7, 2018
I love the heck out of ELO. They're one of my go-to's at karaoke.
