I got such a kick out of seeing all of these big burly construction guys walking around with a lollipop stick sticking out of their mouths. Even though I'm retired now, this memory still makes me smile.

Speaking of lollipops ... I was an only child until I was almost seven, and only had the one given name. But then my parents gave my baby sister two names and I was feeling quite annoyed about that, so I gave myself an unofficial middle name. No prize for correctly guessing what it was.

Lollipop, I'm guessing you gave yourself the middle name Guild. As in "We represent the Lollipop Guild".

No Belita, because although I was an early reader, I hadn't yet stumbled over the Wizard and Dorothy and the munchkins, and the movie hadn't yet been televised in Canada. As I recall, my self-appointed name was more a tasty Good Ship kind of thing.

I don't think the Lollipop Guild was in the book. :)
