The first Pete, "Pal the Wonder Dog", had a partial ring around his right eye, which was made into a complete circle using makeup. He worked in the series from 1927 - 1932.#5: Gary Webster (glwebste) on Mar 2, 2026
His successor and son, "Lucenay's Peter", had no ring, so a circle was drawn around his left eye. He worked until 1938.
A number of other unrelated dogs were used in later episodes.
