This puzzle is logically solvable.

I found this puzzle to be solvable with line logic alone although it is a mystery as to what it is. My reasoning is in a hint that follows.

The 5 far left and far right columns are symmetrical. The center line is unsymmetrical enough as to not allow any filled in squares to be determined. However from the numbers, 10 of the center line squares are NOT filled in and they can be found from the left hand numbers. The final and most important clue is that the 2 far right and far left columns have only 1 filled in square on each row. There is only one possibility to make this happen. The rest of the solve only takes a few minutes.

I thought this was going to be hard to solve. But it really logical.....loved the solve...thanks!

Initial LL places one black and two white squares.

Believe it or not, we can open with smile logic on the left and right sides (this is part of what Michael's hint describes). This is almost never an opening move, but it works here. Resulting LL gets to 98%.

R9: If the 2 goes into C8, it makes C6 invalid.
