The first and last time I ever rode horseback I fell off. But it wasn't because I was careless. It was because the saddle wasn't strapped on tight enough and it just rotated to the horse's side. We were only half way through the trail and I said I would just walk the rest of the way. They wouldn't let me, but I didn't trust them to saddle the horse right.
