after getting to the spot that seems to be where true logic ends i found something#8: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on Jul 2, 2010
both the 12 in row 15 and the 5 in row 16 cant both go to the far left in the left side section (beginning in column 14) because they would create an error in column 18
so you can narrow down where the black clues in columns 27-30 must be (each clue in those columns must be in either in row 15 or 16) which lets you place a lot of dots
similarly you can narrow down columns 19-22 a lot because either the 5 or the 12 clue must extend at least partially to the left (columns 19-22)

I fixed it. Although i think it was solvable with advanced edge logic. but this is a well-known question: what is solvable and what is guessing. every puzzle with one solution is solvable without guessing.#10: marjorie rex (mamo) on Jul 2, 2010
