In high school I was young and naive and got a job in a hardware store typeing invoices I recall being quite embarrassed when I had to type Mill Bastard File.#2: valerie o..travis (bigblue) on Apr 6, 2024
Another time I came across an unusual item and shrugged my shoulders and typed Toot Valve. Seems the clerk wrote up his tickets in long hand and forgot to cross the vertical line with a horiaontal line so his F was a T.
good one norma :)#3: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Apr 6, 2024

There are some off color hardware jokes. My family owned a hardware/feed store and we heard 'em all! Thanks Norma#7: gregg licht (Lgreg) on Apr 7, 2024

Cool Puzzle!
ROFLOL, Gary. I worked in the file room, tucked into an unused corner, answering the phone and taking orders. During slow times, I also filed invoices. Those who'd come before me obviously didn't know the alphabet, let alone simple filing rules. The room was huge, with maybe 100 file cabinets, with unnecessary records dating back 20 years.
Even though no one asked, I spent hours trying to clean up the mess and merge duplicate files because I was too OCD not to.
