I asked a Pokemon expert. He says that if you leave a boy pokemon and a girl pokemon in pokemon daycare, then an egg may randomly appear. The daycare person finds it and says that they have no idea where it came from. But basically all Pokemons hatch from eggs. Originally all Pokemon eggs had this design, but in more recent versions eggs have different designs that hint at what will hatch from them.

Anyway, my brain thinks all talk about Pokemons is a foreign language. So I've probably garbled half of what I just said.

I didn't know they hatch either. Not a follower of this fad.

I am worried that my posting #4 sounded like I was dumping on Pokemon. It's not my thing, but a lot of people get a lot of enjoyment out of it, and I am glad!

A friend of mine's son is VERY into the game and goes to tournaments all over. For the past several years he has done well enough in regionals and then nationals to get invites to worlds. When that happens it's been all-expense paid trips for his son and him to places like Sydney, Tokyo, Berlin. Helps that he's one of the highest rated players in his age group in the country. Never really got into it myself, but have to respect something that has given them both such amazing opportunities.

It's not much of a faddish fad; is been on US television for a quarter of a century
