Hey David,i'm curious, how old are you? You sound like your in your thirties, but you have similar taste in music that i do,i'm 59 so you might be older. Please divulge if your comfortable with that, but if not, that's cool.:)
#4: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Nov 1, 2011
i sound like i'm in my thirties? apparently you have a good ear, i'm 35. A lot of the music I know that is "older" than me was the music my dad (age 57) listened to...plus i've just always loved music. I used to DJ a lot. Now, if you don't mind, what makes me sound like i'm in my thirties?

I'm not really sure exactly why David, but from your comments you seem to be smart, hip to things of this generation, but also with an appreciation to things of my generation. You sound to be well brought up by your parents,i know you have a job with i believe a company car,and your obviously a serious puzzler. You remind me of my wife, who is 31,so i guess it wasn't a reach to guess you were in your 30's.lol.Anyway,i like your style, your into great music and cool cars, and PBN.:)

Thx Michelle,I actually had forgotten about that,i heard that when i was a teen.I really loved the harmonies from TDN.:)

ditto Michelle's first sentence.

David's a year younger than me, but my dad has his beat by 20 years. That adds a good bit of music appreciation. ;)
#12: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Nov 2, 2011
thx Kristen, wow your dad had you late in life, cool.Obviously your dad is a music lover too Kristen,it's great being brought up in a music filled household, heck i even dig classical music and some opera.:)
#13: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Nov 2, 2011
You still have him beat! My dad was about 42 when my brother and I were born. We were his 2nd family.
#14: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Nov 2, 2011

#15: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Nov 3, 2011
My family in general is young...mostly because I'm a first-born, as were both of my parents.

I too grew up in a musical household. I knew nothing but classical up til about 5th grade. Then I took up the drums and played timpani in the school orchestras, and snare drum in the marching band. In college I started playing in blues and rock bands. In one of them we were auditioning singers and one of them was Mike Luckinland (Bobby Brady in The Brady Bunch!)
My first-born daughter has an amazing ear - she can tell you what notes are in a chord from a car horn, and played clarinet and piano.
I'm in my second marriage to a wife 17 years younger and we have a daughter who is now 13. (I'm 66.) I play nothing but awesome 70s and 80s music for her - Yes, Deep Purple, Moody Blues, Styx, Billy Joel, Jethro Tull, U2, Steppenwolf, and many more. She listed Tull's Steel Monkey as her favorite song in 2nd grade. She has memorized the lyrics to almost all of the songs by the bands I listed.
There is hope for our future!!

Thanks Jota! I still have a couple of months in my forties since I don't turn 50 until June lol
Want another example of how young my family is? Both of my grandmothers just passed away a few weeks ago and my great-great-aunt attended one of the funerals. My daughter is in college and met her great-great-great-aunt :)
