One of my son's caregivers has been making crocheting from pixelated images, and that made me think that there might be some synergy with webpbn.#2: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Feb 23, 2026Here is a picture of the project that she is working on now:

She says the info is from "Corner To Corner Crochet" on YouTube. I haven't watched their videos yet, but this one looks like it might have the info about how to do it:

that's a lovely idea!#3: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Feb 24, 2026
I think that PBN puzzles lend themselves well to make needlepoints.#4: Byrdie (byrdie) on Feb 28, 2026
It would be interesting to see some of the black and whites of celebrities.#5: Jessikitty Rose (jrosemarsh129) on Feb 28, 2026
Great idea!#6: Jessikitty Rose (jrosemarsh129) on Mar 2, 2026
I'm still thinking about this two days later because I've been crocheting a lot of baby blankets lately. Another option is fillet crochet, rather than C2C. Maybe I'll do one at some point.#7: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Mar 7, 2026
When I first started doing these puzzles in Games magazine as a kid it coincided with my mom's cross-stitching phase. That's how I got her into them too, for a little while at least. On to the next crafting phase!#8: Joanne Firla (JoFirla) on Mar 7, 2026
Confession time here. I admit I have taken snap shots of some of these puzzles with the the intent of making them into knitted pictures.#9: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Mar 7, 2026
Many years ago I knit a baby blanket from scratch making up pictures by using graph paper and drawing out my ideas, then knitting them into colorful squares I later knit together.
Coolness!#10: Joanne Firla (JoFirla) on Mar 8, 2026
I'd love to see pictures!
I wish I had one. It was a really long time ago. I didn't even save my sketches. Palm slap to the forehead. If it had been knit after I acquired a smart phone, then yes, I would have a picture of it. But this baby blanket was created before cell phones were invented.#11: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Mar 9, 2026
Some of the pictures were an owl, ice cream falling off the cone, an airplane, a kite flying in the sky, a rainbow, a smiley face, etc. The fun part was knitting in a scripture blessing around the outside border along with the baby's name and date.
Joanne, that blanket sounds amazing!!!!!#12: LoloJean (LoloJean) on Mar 11, 2026
Many forms of pixel art lend themselves well to needlecraft, whether it's crochet, knit, embroidery of various styles, or latch hooking!#13: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Mar 12, 2026
Any of the pretty puzzles on this site would do well as charts for something like that.
I will say, though, that all of my major projects (mostly double knit) wouldn't make very fun puzzles!
As a particular favorite if mine, I'd like to offer crochet filet lace as a fantastic medium for translating puzzles here. It even maintains the grid!
Cool!
