Thx everyone, yes it is a shame, however the fact that some people are raising their homes and putting in block foundations is an indication that they want to stay. The government is looking into what they can do to stop the flooding and hopefully more business will move into the abandoned shops and the town will thrive once again.:)

Gorgeous picture. Checked out pictures of Perth Andover. Looks like a great place. Hope is survives.

Thx Norma,I'm confident it will. It's a 20 klm drive for us to do our shopping in Perth, and a 15 klm drive the other way to the other nearest town Plaster Rock. We always go to Perth because we want to support business there, but we have to go to Plaster Rock for our doctor.:)

Beautiful drawing Aldege! I have been to Perth Andover and Plaster Rock. Love it down there in NB
#12: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Nov 10, 2013
Thx Susan,it is beautiful country. No matter which way we go from our house in Odell,we have a 20 minute drive thru winding roads along the Tobique River, and the scenery from the Trans- Canada Hwy. is amazing between Perth and Hartland.:)
