In the immortal, if really bad, words of Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz:

"Oh freddled gruntbuggly,
Thy micturations are to me
As plurdled gabbleblotchits on a lurgid bee.
Groop, I implore thee, my foonting turlingdromes,
And hooptiously drangle me with crinkly bindlewurdles,
Or I will rend thee in the gobberwarts
With my blurglecruncheon, see if I don't!"

Oh the agony of Vogon poetry!!!

Kurt, there's a list somewhere of people who can mark puzzle solvability. Though I looked for it just now and didn't find it. Andrew is on the list.

Hmmm...Vogon poetry is described as terrible poetry. I'm not really sure why. If it is universally accepted as so...then do we also castigate Charles Dodgson, whom I see as a genius? This poetry sounds so much like Jabberwocky to me...or am I sadly mistaken?

I think Douglas Adams described Vogon poetry as terrible because it was fun to go on and on about how bad it was. The actual quality of the sample poem didn't matter to the humor value of the book. Or maybe Adams was being self-deprecating and didn't notice that it's actually a pretty interesting poem.

Now that you mention it, it does sound like Jabberwocky!
