I have noticed that, at least on my computer, it is saying Not secure. Should I worry?#2: Janez (Janez) on Apr 11, 2018
Do not worry.#3: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Apr 11, 2018
It means that the comunications between your computer and the site are not encripted, so somebody could intercept them.
Not big deal.
They are saying someone could steal sensitive information, but all we deal with on this site is puzzles and comments and Jan's instructions. Not really something anybody would want to steal.#4: Wombat (wombatilim) on Apr 11, 2018
The only sensitive info would be your password. As long as you're using a different password here from the one you use on other sites, you should be fine. I know a lot of people re-use them but it's really better security to use different passwords everywhere anyway.#5: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Aug 2, 2018
I just found this thread. Basically what happened is that Google decided that all websites should use an encrypted connection or they will display an error message. There is nothing particularly secret on this site, so I really don't think we need it. But the error message is annoying, so I recently switched us over to use an encrypted connection for everything. So all pages have changed from having "http" to "https" at the beginning. "https" means that the page (probably) uses a secure connection.
